A renowned South African media personality and entertainer has been fatally gunned down in the metropolis of Johannesburg, sending shockwaves across a country battling rampant crime.
Warrick Stock, widely recognized as DJ Warras, was gunned down in the central business district on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities reported the 40-year-old media personality was confronted by three individuals, with one opened fire on him before running away.

The DJ sought to escape after he was hit but collapsed across the street.
Police added that Stock had an gun that was not fired and nothing was taken during the assault.
